Partner Dawn O'Leary joined fellow clients from Davis Burton Sellek to support the fourth annual Lunch4Life charity event, which helped to raise over £62,000. The funds will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Charity, the Wexham Park Hospital and the Ashford & St Peter's Breast Unit. Kirsty Gallacher, Paul Sampson and Gloria Huniford gave their support with Nick Bonham presiding over a silent auction and raffle.

 

Davis Burton Sellek supports 2009 Sunningdale Xmas Celebration with Chip Hawkes

bmw_event_small.jpg Customers who came to preview the new BMW range at the Sytner Sunningale showroom on 22 Oct were tested on their financial knowledge with a quiz designed by Davis Burton Sellek Chartered Accountants. We joined the likes of Wentworth Golf Club, Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, Pink & Brown and Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa in a bid to entertain customers previewing the new BMW X1 and BMW 5. Sunningdale Accountants & Financial Life Planners raise £1,617 for Sebastian's Action Trust

local_event_oct_small.jpg Clients enjoyed champagne and canapes on 15 October while raising money for local children's charity Sebastian's Action Trust. A drinks party was held to welcome the arrival of Financial Life Planners, Encompass, to the DBS offices at the Galleries in Charters Road. The event raised £1,617 for a Sibling Activity Day, trip to the O2 arena in London to see Peter Pan/Xmas lights and entertainment equipment for families who stay in Sebastian's holiday home www.ascotmatters.co.uk/community  www.berkshirebusinessreview.co.uk

 

Local accountants and Lifestyle financial planners raised £475 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Clare Grosart, Taxation Senior, exhibits fine art at Reading University

clare_grosart_art_thumb.jpgClare recently exhibited her final degree art work at the University of Reading Fine Art show. Her final designs featured alongside 57 of her peers including finalists across all the various art programmes, clearly demonstrating the diversity of today's contemporary artistic talent.

Dawn O'Leary says "We are all extremely proud of Clare - her hard work and dedication has clearly paid off with some extraordinary and dynamic designs. Clients have been keen to speak to her to see if her skills transfer to creative tax planning!"

 

Lorna Ponti of Lunch4Life raises £10k for local hospital cancer unit

Lorna Ponti and her committee recently gave £10,000 to Ashford and St Peter's Hospital NHS Trust. This was raised during an event organised by cancer fund raising group - Lunch4Life www.lunch4life.co.uk  The money is being put into the breast fund and is helping to buy new equipment and go towards future research projects.

 

Sunningdale accountants support local Carnival

This year Davis Burton Sellek supported their local community Carnival. Every year we give a donation to the Sunningdale Christmas lights and join in with the festivities on the opening night. 2008's celebrations were better than ever with Russ Abbott switching on the lights and carol singing and dancing from local schools. There was an impressive turn out from local businesses and residents.

Davis Burton Sellek joins forces with Dane & Glasscock Recruitment to support Camberley School Career’s Day

Davis Burton Sellek and Dane & Glasscock joined forces to support a local Career’s Day for SHAPE (Surrey Heath Education Partnership) held at Tomlinscote School in Camberley on 10 February. Students and parents received free advice on accountancy career opportunities as well as interview preparation, CV writing and presentation.  The day proved successful for parents, students and exhibitors alike.
